Imagining a different future can be challenging. Many people feel stuck. Creating a strategic plan can be overwhelming. How can we step away from the pressing needs of today to think about five or ten years from now?
We think we’re designing for all users by sampling some users. After all, the whole point of sampling is inferring results from a subset of people to apply to the whole. But this approach to sampling leaves us vulnerable to bias.
A circular approach means going from a "take-make-waste" use of the world's resources to a "reduce-redesign-reuse". It means keeping as much of the materials we use in the same system.
