HELLO, WE'RE PEOPLE ROCKET!
A bit about us… People Rocket is leading a revolution in consulting — breaking the traditional dependency model. We use modern ways of working across industry, organizational, and geographic boundaries. Our approach creates independence for our clients by building their innovation capacity. We take an inclusive approach to innovation that values multidisciplinary collaboration. We source diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and expertise to create better solutions.
As an organization, we stand against systemic racism and oppression, and promote equity and belonging in our work and our working environment.
People Rocket is a global team of, what we call, ‘T-shaped’ people! T-shaped people come to People Rocket with a breadth of previous experiences and an in-depth knowledge of a specific domain or domains (i.e. marine biology, learning science, natural language processing , and communication design — just to name a few!). Our approach to hiring people with intentionally broad in-depth knowledge areas and with diverse professional/lived experiences allows us to unlock adaptive expertise and collective intelligence — also, it is what we believe makes our team the best it can be.
A bit about what we do… we work with organizations to invent a better future, so they can:
A bit about our job descriptions…you won’t see traditional requirements, on purpose. If after reading this, you believe 20-50% of your experiences are related and you're excited about our work — perfect — we want to hear from you! Please know that People Rocket is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and does not discriminate against any employee or job applicant because of race or color, gender identity or expression, religion, ethnicity or national origin, sexuality, physical ability, neurodiversity, or age.
It is Monday and your afternoon is dedicated to collaborating with the team at People Rocket. As a Technical Program Lead, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish and act as the main liaison between clients and your colleagues. Your role may be part-time, allowing for you to work or study while checking in to lead projects and support the team to progress towards delivery, and that we're capturing lessons learned at every stage.
Your role requires tapping into your existing expertise in cloud-based large-scale implementations, lived experiences as a leader, and networks. Your colleagues share unfinished work, which is a core value at People Rocket that you are getting more accustomed to. You provide feedback to creatively develop plans to mitigate any issues you identify that might affect the project deliverables. You play the role of a trusted translator between client and People Rocket, helping deepen each member’s understanding of the technical goals and limitations of the project. You keep an eye out for whether the technology can meet the needs of the client.
After the meeting wraps, you join the Data Architect to design a workshop to co-design the data product vision for a client. Your role in the workshop is to help plan technical and business requirements, identify risks of technology integrations, implementations and deployment, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
You have experience in overseeing data product programs, large scale implementations, and even blockchain, so share your thoughts and questions to design a better workshop.
